What is score?

SCORE Basketball Academy is an AAU basketball club with the explicit purpose of developing players and forming competitive teams to play against other club teams in tournaments. SCORE is for players who wish to leave recreation leagues and compete at a more advanced level. SCORE is dedicated to becoming the top competitive basketball club in the area and leading the way in player development (both on and off the court).

Backed by the experience and high caliber coaching of Core Athletic Training, OC #1 place for Recreation Sports, SCORE Club Sports takes kids to the next level of competition while reinforcing the importance of good character on & off the court. This new squad will be led by two of OC’s top youth hoops coaches.

COACH MARCUS BRADLEY

An All CIF Southern Section 3AA First Team Select from Corona del Mar High School, Marcus had a terrific senior year leading the Sea Kings to a 19-9 record. Coach Marcus was a McDonald's All-American nominee and also a Ball Is Life All American. He began his collegiate career at UCI, transferred to Idaho State University for a short stint, and finished at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah where he completed his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing.

LOCAL LEGEND

Coach Marcus has since coached several of the local clubs around Orange County while volunteering at local YMCAs and coaching the freshman team at his Alma Mater, Corona Del Mar High School. Coach Marcus is excited to pass on his knowledge of basketball and help young athletes develop advanced basketball skills as well as character and integrity.

COACH ADRIAN WATKINS

As an 8th-grader, Adrian was one of only three players in California to be invited and attend USC’s high school varsity camp. Adrian then started for Marina High School, one of Orange County’s top high school teams. During summers, he attended the Five-Star camp in Philadelphia and was named a 2-time All-Star Player, 1-time MVP, and 2-time playmaker of the year. Adrian was heavily recruited by Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, and Fresno State. Since then, Adrian has been the director of CORE’s basketball operations and has been CORE’s Lead Trainer for new coaches. Adrian has a passion for helping kids grow on and off the court and is looking forward to developing and establishing a competitive AAU club team.
